I know. Sorry, I did think about that bit and if it would be misunderstood. I do try and word things so, hopefully, they are not misunderstood by anyone with English as a first or second language. I have just flogged myself as penance.

I was agreeing with you in the way that one minute we are on the cusp of a nuclear war and then it is Oh, look, a toffs wedding. :)

No worries Glen I am not that sensitive :D

Thanks. I do worry about things like that though. In my old job I had to deal with the aftermath of people who are insensitive and that makes me care about what and how I say things. Eventually we all annoy someone but as long as it isn't deliberate then whilst not Ok it isn't as bad. That is why I hate the bullies we have in online games. Banter is one thing but the bullies are another. :)

Trump backed by his equally ignorant dumbbells withdraws from the Paris agreement... Is there no limit to this man's idiocy? History won't be kind to this unprecedented act of climate change denial and financial folly. A sad day indeed.

If you look at sports like Formula 1 (probably not the best example of fuel saving :) ) where you get regular rule changes the teams innovate in order to get better performance and gain an advantage. The effort can be a lot to achieve a small improvement. However, a lot of small changes gradually add up.

The same applies to climate change. If everyone makes a small change then it all adds up. LED bulbs were expensive when first introduced but the price has dropped significantly and now with their longer life and greater efficiency even over fluorescent bulbs we are seeing a return. In our small house we are saving £100 a year because of changing to LED bulbs and not using as much electricity at the same time. Even upgrading our thermostat has started to show cost savings in power.

I'm not a great fan of wind turbines as they don't really enhance the scenery but you can obtain a lot of energy from them. Also, if another form of energy becomes available they can be dismantled. The US moving to coal and more oil consumption will not bring a lot of jobs back. Investing in better battery and solar technologies and the further development of those technologies would bring more jobs and better jobs. Technology is often seen as reducing jobs but generally more jobs and better jobs are created to support not only the development but also the manufacturing and support too.

Whilst Trump is the headline figure you have to look at the whole of the US administration. Placing a person who has been fighting against environmental controls as the head of the environment agency is one example amongst many. Trump signing off ethics exemptions for prominent people in the administration is like giving the keys to the bank to to someone in a striped jumper with a mask on.

I'm embarrassed that May is only "disappointed" with the US. I would expect her despite Brexit to have signed the letter along with France, Germany and Italy.

Most of the time politicians are just emberressed
On the other side I had to grin as I heared China criticized the USA for that.
China criticized...China who cause the biggest pullution in the word! (n)

Yes China doing that was funny. However, if China does make the effort then we will need to recognise that. Even if they miss targets but still make reductions that is still better than not even trying. We all set targets that may not be achievable but we try to meet.

The USA has 5% of the world's population but produces 15% of the world's carbon emissions. The argument is that it is costing too much is also misleading. At the current rate of warming parts of the US will start to be under water and the cost of moving/re-housing will be enormous (unless the Republicans are still in and they won't care about the homeless) and there is also the possibility of extreme climate events having a significant effect on crop production too.

Quote from someone on Twitter regarding London suggesting that suicide bombers/attackers are afraid of going to a NASCAR race because they might get shot. Do these people not think?

"There's never been a terrorist attack at a Nascar race. Nascar fans are all armed. Draw your own conclusions."

Some of the responses:

  • There's never been a terrorist attack at Victoria's Secret, they have push up bras, draw your own conclusions.
  • There's never been a terrorist attack at a Star Wars convention. Star Wars nerds all carry lightsabers. Draw your own conclusions.
  • There's never been a terrorist attack at a curling match. All curling fans have a broom. Draw your own conclusions. You congenital idiot
  • There's never been a terrorist attack at a NASCAR race because even the terrorists don't give a shit about it. [HASHTAG]#boring[/HASHTAG]
My favourite though was: "You're all so busy shooting each other in America the terrorists can't get a look in"

Looking like RICO ((in the US, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) investigations are ongoing itn to GOP for money laundering and similar. Very wide reaching with even the House Speaker being implicated with several recordings money laundering discussions with Russians. Also looks like the Russians also have Komporarat on more than just Trump.

Interesting times.

Surprised that they Russian hookers haven't leaked yet. Oh, that sounds wrong, no, not like that! :)

In the White House:
Aide 1: "Did the President say he'd testify under oath!?"
Aide 2: "Yep."
Aide 1: "Does he understand how serious perjury is!??"
Aide 2: "Nope."
Aide 1: " :) "
Aide2: "I get your concern about the President being under oath. It's no biggie because..."
Aide1: "He lied about that too."

Senator Hatch has been receiving the Presidential Daily Briefing since 9th May. There are 18 listed on this article about succession: United States presidential line of succession - Wikipedia

Many of these people are deemed to be currently unsuitable because of the ongoing investigations. Hatch (3rd) is currently untainted by the corruption or Russian investigations. Because of the nature of the investigations he could become the 45th president as Trump and Pence (because of the voting interference by the Russians which they knew about) would have cheated and are therefore would not be considered as legitimate.

Trump friend says president considering firing Mueller
Firing Preet Bharara, Sally Yates, James Comey, and now maybe Robert Mueller (and maybe Rod Rosenstein as well, if he refuses to fire Mueller)?
Nope, nothing suspicious about that at all.

But he regrets firing Flynn.

You know, the guy being paid to literally work for a foreign government while simultaneously holding position as National Security Adviser.

Yes, but there were no hookers. I tell you there were no hookers.

It is the same with all the Russian connections that they keep on lying about despite them being easily proven that they are wrong. This blog post linked below is a good example of how you can find a lot of information that stemmed from a simple statement of where Michael Cohen was at a particular time/date through online social media posts, photos and other sources. Politicians seem to think people trust their words without any checks but that isn't true any more. And there were definitely no hookers. :)

N450GA is no longer trackable for some reason. ;) As are the other aircraft.... Hmm, wonder why.

Somebody could change name of this thread to "Tolerant people bullying Trump" thread...

We have exactly similar political witch hunt going on here after True Finns party decided their new leader. Halla-aho is labeled by political enemies as horrible racist and nazi becouse hes worried about losing independence (rising debt and EU integration) and all costs and security risks of refugees whos blowed up our rape and violence numbers in previous 2 years. After Halla-aho got decided to be new leader "tolerant people" dont tolerate "wrong" democratic decision just like in cases of Trump and Brexit too. Half of True Finns who were really just corrupt fake opposition left and helped keep worst rogue government ever in power.

Thats why im little suspicious about that how people and media talks about Trump, Le Pen etc politicians. They are not paid puppets and banks/globalists want discredit them and get rid off them witn any cost.

Trump is portraying himself as the victim (despite winning the presidency) yet still hindering the investigations. Anyone innocent would want them done as quick as possible and would throw resources and funds at the investigation to get it completed.

Trump was already being investigated for money laundering. About 5 years ago only 4% of Trump property sales were to corporations. That is now up to 70% with the main purchasing companies being shell companies and properties changing hands frequently. Casinos and property are amongst the most used methods of money laundering. Guess ( you only get one ) what Trump has businesses in?

In addition to the obstruction of justice investigation on Trump he has also been part of a racketeering and corruption investigation that relates to his organisation and the GOP. So there are currently three threads to investigations into Trump.

Russian interference in the election was to the electoral roles and altering them to invalidate voters rather than hacking the actual counting process or the results. There is no doubt about interference yet the Republicans never acknowledges this. Why?

Yesterday's vote of 97 to 2 against lifting sanctions against Russia could have consequences. The main reason for Russian interference was to get the sanctions softened or lifted so that their energy business could flourish. With the Russian economy smaller than Italy's that revenue source is needed. Eventually all the rich Russians will start to be less rich and that will start to force changes there and Putin will be at risk. There is also a possibility that Russia could then start to break up into smaller states. At which point China could start looking at the resources in Siberia.

So with the sanctions unlikely to be lifted in the near or longer term future how long before pressure is exercised on Trump and others and the hooker tapes released? Plus the tapes they have on others too. That would deflected things away from Russia and what they are doing and cause instability within the US.

Within the U.K. there are still groups that want to reverse the Brexit decision and within Scotland the no vote to independence. Despite the democratic process being done, just because they don't like the results. However, there is no suggestion that either vote here was influenced by external players. That isn't the case with the USA. Russia did influence the vote and that has been acknowledged by most people and the FBI and CIA. That is why there is a backlash against Trump and the possibility he got the presidency with outside influence.

There are positives from Trump. With leaders like Macron and Trudeau coming to the forefront people around the world are seeing that there are alternatives to the mainstream politicians that are not at the extreme like Trump.

Getting someone in place of Trump/Pence will be good not just for the USA but also the rest of us around the world.
