I hear you...BF3 does look pretty and you are tempted to splash the cash on an uber PC to run it.

I shelled out over 600 euros upgrading my PC for BF3 ...New processor,new Graphics card etc...'big mistake'.

Stick to BF2, its the better game.

Think along these lines- 'you fancy taking the prom queen out to dinner cos shes looking super hot and then banging her senseless in the limo afterwards'....but the reality is you collect her and you get up close&personal shes got acne,bad breath..she eats like a pig and burps&farts at the table..then during the limo ride home you make your move on her and find out shes actually got a cock as shes a pre op tranny....and thats pretty much it in a nutshell

lmao dont hear about lt.spunkbubble. he is only pissed because he is shit in bf3 and get his ass kicked.

bf3 is a nice game but you have to play 200-300 hours to get all the good powerfull guns so you can hit a shit. lmao

BF3 started to get really the best FPS game for me after 100h :) And still after that you learn new things...

same here. think nearly need to play 200 hours till you can play "properly". before that you think everyone cheats and you can smash you pc after every round. but you get a point you feel "oh, now it runs smooth and well" and than you got a lot of fun.

i have needet 600h to learn that iam a shit player but now i know it^^, and i give laka right the last 17 h was amazing imao
 
Lol all this stuff here... If i don't like BF3 at least i have better computer to play BF2 with it after i get enough money to buy it. :p

Heikk > exactly how i try think too with computers. i've known many m8s who want to get the bare minimum all the time and second hand etc which usually breaks within a few months so they end up spending a lot more than they bargain for. The comp prices are very countrywise and components vary in price. Also of course it has to be a 230V PSU, maybe finnish windows and a local store. I respect you want to keep the source close in case of any glitch in the purchase. And BF3 ain't the only thing you can do with a newer comp of course. You can also watch a Full HD pic of Merkels tits if you wish to and lol.. in the end it's what bests suits you Heikk.
 
High end pc's which can run bf3 smooth at 60fps arent that costly anymore. I myself have a 1200 euro laptop but thats because i need to combine my school with gaming. And this turned out to be the better solution for me as I also need a high end pc for school. If I had the chance I would Swap my laptop as Fast As possible with a high End gaming pc and a light laptop for school (or even A tablet). Anyhow... To The point: my laptop can run bf3 At ultra settings 1080p at 25fps. A gaming desktop pc can Achieve the same With a bare minimum of 600-700 euro. When you Want The good Fps and quality... Thats Where you remotely start to think towards 1k for a pc.
my friend builds pcs and he made one for himself for 1200 euros. It had a gtx 580 originally. I think He has upgraded it to a 680 now.

From the looks of it around that price you would prob get a 650m which gets ~15-20fps in BF3 apparently on ultra so checks out :confused:

mine is over 1 year old already. its the best that my gtx 560m can do :p but then again... gpu's on laptops are just worthless which is quite understandable if you take in count the low energy consumage of laptops (lower in comparison with desktops). I don't actually see mobile gpu's being comparable with the normal versions... ever. (even the gtx 580m is one big lie, it's slightly better then the 560m but thats it you simply need more energy for more power)

Ah okay, what settings are you playing with? :) My rig also only has a 240W PSU and I am playing 40fps on high without anti-aliasing 1920x1200 :)

I built mine for around £800 & i think my specs are pretty good, bf3 on ultra runs at 85-90 fps even crysis 3 beta on ultra was pretty smooth. so if you can self build you can save some £££
