What is it used for? Is it a radio tower?
I would rather say it's something like a weather/observatory station? But it's said it's a communication tower in the BF3 wiki
Edit: on the wiki for Altai Range it's written flag Delta = weather station, sounds more logic for me - Yep the "big white ball" on top is a radar in facts

Could be weather, then easy to find out. Else (and in case of the berlin facility) its usually a radar installation. The radar itself rotates, the dome is there to protect it.View attachment 13533

Walk in local park today. Callander House (the original part) has been there since 14th century and modified several times since then. There was a Roman fort nearby and houses at the location since about 10th century. Antonine wall runs through the park though not much is visible - only a ditch.
