The only reason I would go for a resin one is that most of the stuff I would be likely to print would be relatively small. Could see the use of a filament printer but don't have the room for one. They have a very low WAF rating.
 
Resin vs filament depends heavily what you wanna print. Im probably gonna do the bigger stuff and also like to mod my printer then :p.
 
For me it would be smaller items like parts for model kits. When you look at tank tracks that can be £50+ to replace the rubber band ones you get with some kits a small resin printer at about £150 would soon cover the cost even if including running costs. Other items like tank stowage sets can cost £40. Even if you had to but the files for the items that would again justify the cost.

Filament printer would also be really handy as there are loads of things that I would like but just cannot find. Simple boxes for specific items and larger items that don't need to be well finished, just functional.

Think I need a man shed first! 🤔
