We have a lot of them here tho, well not rly a lot, but still there are many :v , the funniest part is, that they eat most of our vegetables in Summer-Autumn, they even jump over a 1.5m fence to eat it, even tho there's apple, pear trees but which is pretty much easy to get to, no fence no nothing, but still they decide to go for vegetables...cute animals tho

During our recent inclement spell my wife threw some food scraps out for the birds and made a fat ball.
I let the dog out for a pee shortly after... he ate the lot, after digging through the snow, under the trampoline, then sat in a snow drift whining at the fat ball he could not reach!

I am only 4 meters away and inside the kitchen window.
The worst thing about deer is that they eat the flowers and plants I grow in the garden. So feeding them is not an option for me.

same i do for the voles since 2 years. we are buying flowers and flower bulbs and over the winter they all gone into mouse feed.
We feed the smaller birds that then get eaten by the sparrowhawk. Biggest bird we have had in the garden is a heron. Used to get a fox and badger during the night.
Really like the deer though.
