No photo but will do one next time.

Ingredients:
  • 170g wholemeal flour
  • 170g plain white flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 290ml buttermilk*
* you can use yoghurt and milk mix as an alternative.

Method:

Mix ingredients together, knead a little bit and make a ball shape. Flatten it a bit and make a cut across the top.

Cooking:

200C/180C Fan/Gas 6 for about 30 minutes.

Simple but tasty. Costs about £1. (Or you can by a packet mix for £1.90!)

Should end up looking like this (taken from the recipe I found) and mine was pretty similar.

Oh that sounds great. Gonna try that this week.

Remembered photos for this one!

Dry ingredients are just mixed together.

Then just add the buttermilk. Usually comes in a 300ml tub so I just add all of it in. Just mix it in to form the dough. May need to add just a little bit more flour as there is an extra 10ml and it will be a bit sticky otherwise but that will also depend on the flour you use too.

Baked and the result is below. Just flattened it a bit as it is easier to cut and toast!
