pretty sure the heeds can answer the question, otherwise its all lees fault xD

If I understand you correctly you'll could do with a USB wireless adapter for your TV box should the box have a USB connection and support that option of course.

What's the make of your TV box?

Hi Guys & Gals

I'm having real trouble with this router setup
Does anyone know of any guides that can help me through it
Setting up a TP-Link Archer D2 as a repeater

These guys have been doing a series on setting up routers and networks in general which may be worth a look. Know How... 295 Networking 101: Ports | TWiT.TV (and yes, one of them is a priest but it has nothing to do with the content).

Things to remember are:
The LAN IP should be different but in the same subnet with the root AP.
The DHCP Server on your router should be disabled (this is important as weird stuff start to happen!).

This link should walk you through it - should be similar for your model.
How to configure WDS function on Archer D5, Archer D7(b), TD-W8968, TD-W8970(B), TD-W9970, TD-W8980, TD-W9980(B)? - TP-Link
