Our Zanussi oven has blown the the heating element twice now. It is a simple 10 minute job should it happen. Other brands should be similar. The hardest part is finding the correct hex driver for the screws and then getting the cover plate back on.

The element is behind a panel usually held on by screws.

Remove those and you should then see the element.

This is held in place by just two screws. Remove those and there will be two wires that push on the element. These can be quite short so either swap one wire at a time so they don't fall back or put a small clamp on them. (Laka, you could use one of your nipple clamps).

Once the new element has the wires attached is in place put the two holding screws back in and then the cover.

Probably should have said make sure that the power is off before you start! 🤪

Turn the power on and test it.

Cost £13 for replacement element and ten minutes.

Local repair service were charging £55 incl the part and said it would take 10 minutes.

Our neighbour opposite had their oven blow so he bought a new oven. Trouble was that the new oven didn't fit! So they got the whole kitchen done! Same bloke got his new Land Rover Evoque dinged by a shopping trolley and wanted to get a new car!
