Downloaded some mp.3 music files from YouTube (mostly old live gigs with various artists) but problem is they’re (obviously) in single large files. Want to make them into individual songs i.e. divide them making ”live albums”.

Challenge: haven’t found any easy-to-use and (preferably) free or low-cost software despite googling my fingers sore.

Anyone with some suggestions please?

🙏🏻🙂

Audacity is pretty good for basic editing. Not always intuitive but does a lot that many other spendy apps do.

Used it a lot to record some of my old LPs when there were no digital versions available, even the pop and scratch filters were useable.

Now tell me that cutting and gluing tape wasnt easyier and faster :)
I remember doing that too with R2R tapes. usually ended being a mess!. 😀 You young folks have no idea of the pain we used to go through! 🤪
