BF2 login problem - help needed

Reinstalled BF2 from disc and all went fine including patching but at login to my account I just get a default player ie vanilla weapons etc.

Anyone have a solution?

Tried to google on the topic to no avail...

I used this in the past.

-go to your bf2 folder
-find the "python" folder
-Now go in the "BF2" folder
-go to the "stats" folder
-open the "unlocks" PY file...
-there will be a line of text that says...

defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]
change all these zeros to 1's and it will unlock all weapons in SP in BF2

you are playing over bf2hub? also downloaded there client? they should have the player data in there databank as long as your username is known there.

Download and install BF2HUB, start the game via BF2HUB. Have fun

Can’t login there, probably because I had another email address when BF2 was launched; current login doesn’t work anyway .
Sent a query to the BF2HUB team so we’ll see how that goes...
BFBC2 isn’t too shabby either

I don't know, you'll be able to recover your old account. You can always create a new one
