Have to make some next weekend too :)

Bought a waffle iron last year and used it like 4 times :) but its still a good investement.

What about project bread? Do you need help or did you lose interest?
Making sourdough in summer ist not so easy i feel like... With more than 24 degree(Celsius just in case) the dough seems to spoil before being ready.

Had our waffle maker for about 10 years now. Originally used a packet mix which we can't get anymore so that is why I tried making from scratch. Pleased with the result but a little bit of a faff whisking eggs but enjoyable. Could be a little sweeter next time.

Can use the maker for squishing ring doughnuts to make waffles too.

Still trying to find rye flour. Flour seems more readily available now but not specialised flours. I think the problem with the started is not having it in a warmish place so it wasn't really getting going. Same for the bread too. Need a proving drawer! :D I need to do some bread tomorrow so will kick off a starter.

Hm I made mine in winter at the rather cold radiator. like 21 degrees. Its more off a problem with sour dough when it gets too warm. The bacteria like colder temperature a bit more I think.

Waffledough should be pretty easy :) Almost no premade stuff allowed in my kitchen anyways ^^
