Pre-ordered this one ages ago as it would fit in with the other BF4 related kits I have done (M1 Abram, LAV, EOD, AAVR) and it should arrive today. Need to work out how to have the driver in mid air and in front of it!

Haha just my thought with the driver in mid air lol

Cromwell tank actually but the Comet was a slightly later upgraded version of it. To be honest I hadn't heard of it until I saw the kit so well done for getting that close! Looks like the main difference is a more refined cast turret shape than the square, bolted together look of the Cromwell. The kit is inaccurate as it only has six bolts on the road wheels an should have eight bolts! Thought about removing the 6 and adding 8 but couldn't be bothered - I am not a rivet counter! Or could have bought replacement wheels but that would have been about £25 - nearly the price of the kit! Still playing with the shading and wear effects. None really had that much rust on them as they were usually quite new.

Completed an HE111 that had loads of fiddly interior photo etched pieces for the cockpit and bomb bay (which you never actually see) so thought the Skid Loader would be a quickish simple build especially considering the size and would be another BF vehicle for the collection (Abrams, LAV, AMTRAC, EOD Bot, SUAV). Has a few metal bits but too many - the side panel grills are metal. The main fun is that you have to paint everything first before you can start assembling. The cab has metal levers and even a metal seat belt clip! The windscreen wiper is made from metal too. Anyway it is starting to look like the Skid Loader! Yes, it is meant to look a bit worn inside. 🙂 'Just' the bucket assembly to do which has all the hydraulic hoses included which should be fun.
