Edgar, do you know how long you have to wait on an skilled specialist?

As far as I know Glen by now, he may think about it.
...but 10 min later heheh naaaaasty...

He surly plans a trip to buy beer, cheese e.g. in this time, but the Idea to get the hotel payed by insurance, is clever too ;-]

I go around unplugging all network devices, switching all phones to airplane mode. Why? Convinced someone has been listening to our conversations and thoughts! (y) ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ’ฏ/๐Ÿ’ฏโœ…

PS I may be a bit enthusiastic with the emojis now we have such a large choice!

This is the offending pipe. You can see where over the years the expansion and contraction has worn through the pipe but the actual hole is tiny. Literally the size of: . Even looking through it and shining a torch on the hole it was barely visible.

Our living room is now like a show house (if you describe that as a near empty room devoid of anything that suggests real people use it and it has a large feature hole in the ceiling). The only thing left is the TV and surround system and the sofa and chair. It does have a rather strange sound to it now.

The worst bit will be setting up the network stuff as the router is also in that room too. May need to have a think about relocating it to the loft space.

Yesterday was spent moving the network stuff. And today is moving the TV and hifi out of the room. The idea of using the TV as a monitor for BF got vetoed. Will be glad when this is all over and we can get back to normal.

Change of plan. Painter/plasterer turned up today and was basically WTF! Plastering the ceiling will take longer and cost more than to taking the rest down and renewing it. Contract manager turned up and said 'WTF?' Apparently they are now doing the whole ceiling (tomorrow) and the painter guy will then do his stuff. Today he has been preparing the walls which meant removing old wallpaper and paint. Fortunately he cant see that the original was paper was Laura Ashley brown stripes! It was the late 80's so don't judge.

FFS! They get here this morning and they arenโ€™t taking the ceiling down now. End result is the same but just wish they would make up their ๐Ÿคฌ minds. The chance of us going full postal is quite high. Was going to just order a stack of pizzas and eat myself into a cheese and chilli beef stupor as the kitchen is wrapped in condom. ๐Ÿคช
