Ja! We also stayed at this brewery for a couple of nights on the way back to the ferry! They had to put our car in the middle of the ferry as we may have stocked up with liquid produce a bit too much. Nothing like a 300km drive with about 50+ bottles chinking away at the back.

After the brewery we stopped at…

because we weren't sure if we had enough.

😊

One thing we liked when visiting Germany is getting off the main roads and enjoying the scenery. We tend to have loads of fences and hedges that spoil the view over here.

nice beer collection glen :) we often go into a bar wich has craft beer. one of my favorite is from Frau Gruber "Green is lord" or just a Tegenseer Hell

I don't really have a favourite beer but do prefer IPA hoppy styles. Particularly like beers that use citra hops. Not really a beer snob but generally wouldn't choose lager style beers and definitely not the large commercial brands like Budwater. Would rather have 1 bottle of Leffe than 20 Bud. The Mrs tends to go for dark beers whereas I am not fussy and have an eclectic taste.

Need to do some more brewing but getting supplies is still a bit hard at the moment.

Once watched a dude on youtube making a hiking trip through wales in a straight line (as much as possible) and I wondered why there are so many fences :D

Maybe Germany built one big wall in the middle so that we didnt have to build fences between acres

A lot of it is probably due to small farms and land owners using hedges and fences as boundaries. Farms and land have then been consolidated in to larger properties but the field boundaries have been retained.

A few more from yesterdays visit to Scottish Owl Centre

The flying display is in quite a dark room so that is a challenge and then trying to get a bird in flight was fun. We were in the flightpath a couple of times and managed to get a few reasonable shots. These are the type of situations where a Nikon D6 and 120-300mm f2.8 would have been handy. Unfortunately didn't have £15k handy! :D The flying ones show that the camera AF just cannot keep up with the movement.

A perfect illustration of how light affects things. Such an amazing difference in the colours of the soil even.

Wow! Look really great. If you need more details for you will let me know! :D Thought it was Ari Vatanen at first.
