Going to the cinema used to be a weekly event as it was the only way to see movies. Actually remember that you had the Pathé news, a short 15 minute film and then the main film. You could just go in and watch at any time so would start watching a Bond film half way through, watch the new reels and short film then the first half of the film and leave. It was a different experience to nowadays. Remember seeing stuff like 2001 and The Song Remains the Same before general release up in London.
Not been to a cinema for about 10 years because it was an awful experience. People on their phones or talking and eating all the time, poor quality sound and the image looking out of focus. Watching a film at home is a much better experience plus you don't have to annoy about 20 people when you need to go for a pee! Also just seems so expensive.
