To be honest I have used a selfie stick as I don't trust giving a £1,500 camera to some unknown person who can probably run faster than I can. I have used it when there was no place to put the camera and it was in such a deserted place that it was the only choice. See my video of my selfie stick here:
The opposite is true too. One guy handed me is Nikon which was definitely worth £6,000+ (including lens) and I so wished Isobel could drive and run away with it. I wouldn't have been cruel to him, he could have had the memory card back!

for sure that is a reason to use this sticks but not all this blokes just for use the phone as cam.

I actually think this could be useful. Even works when you get the silent treatment off the wife!
If I had the money I would buy one of these. Machine is $1,000 plus a subscription for the coffee printer ink!
