Was in Costco and noticed the washable* Logitech keyboard. Had a quick try on the demo sample and it actually felt OK. I had a Bluetooth keyboard I was using with the Mac Mini Server but wanted a wired one as the Apple Bluetooth one wouldn't always connect which was becoming a pain in the you know what. I bought one as it was pretty cheap. It works fine with the Mac except it doesn't have the Apple command keys but that is generally OK as I don't tend to use them. As an experiment I had a go when playing BF4 and found it to be not bad at all. The only real issue is the key for the console is as usual quite easy to hit and you are then wondering why nothing is happening before you get killed. WWith my previous keyboard it was easy to wedge a bit of plastic under the key to disable it but on this keyboard that isn't possible. The answer to this was to pry the offending key off and cover the switch with a lump of Sugru*. The keys are like the chicklet type squares you get on laptops and I havbe found not bad to use. Whilst I would like to spend £100 on a keyboard it seems to be a lot.
It says the keyboard is washable but I have yet to try that but being liquid resistant should help it to survive coffee (or the drink of your choice) spills.
*Sugru if you don't know is a flexible rubber compound that can be moulded and then left to harden. It is quite dear but I've found it to be really useful for fixing things or making mounts for devices and so on. Comes in a few colours.
* Hand wash only. Use mild soap and a soft cloth in warm water less than 30cm (11 inches) deep and less than 50°C (120°F). Do not wash in dishwasher. Do not use abrasives, alcohol, solvents or harsh detergents. Do not submerge the USB cable. Follow washing instructions in the Quick Start Guide
