Pictures by Nimma / Numaga!

Hi,

These are all taken in or around my home town Nijmegen. It's a city is 160.000 ish on the north-east side of the country.

Anywho, I'm a photo hobbyist myself and I love to make pictures, everywhere. I've made quite a few in the last two years, but I'll start with my home town :D

I use a Canon 600D with a standard lens. Every once in a while I can borrow a lens from a friend, but hopeing to get a good one for myself in the near future.

Hope you like 'em!!

Above where all taken with a long exposure, now something different; my dog in the snow ealier this year!

The first picture has gone public on national TV, which I'm very proud of :D My girlfriend send the first picture to "Piet Paulusma" and "NOS Journaal" as weather picture of the day and both broadcasted the picture on their background that same day :) That was a blast!

Very nice...I like the pics taken in the dark, I never manage to get it right. I love to take pics of aircraft, but I am a noob there, too. Camera is 1997-ish and I These damn things are often too quick for me :)

One of my favorites in here as well, my dog running around, looking like a gremlin :)

Thanks! Yeah it's hard in the dark. The ones you mentioned are taken with 30 sec. shutter time. Took quite a few to get it right, many were blurry in the wrong way.

But I've taken a few of Aircraft too, a few months ago there was an Airforce demonstration close to my home town.

These were taken with a 800 euro zoom lens which wasn't mine. Lucky for me I could borrow it that day.

Did the 4 days march there many years ago ... nice place as i remeber , and very clean for a large town/city

Thanks guys :)

And yeah, the 4 day marches here are awesome. I can really recommend as it is the biggest festival in the country ( 7-day party, 37 bigger and smaller stages, 350 artists )

And it's clean because of the DAR cleaning service which scoops the whole town clean 24/7. We pay a lot of taxes for it, though :|

I'll post some more pics soon.

Dragracing ( Voorend Dragracing )

Dragracing team owned by my brother in law. Here some nice pics of his team (all white cars with blue stripes) and some of his opponents. Including the aftermath of a 120 mph spin that ened up in the safety rails ( dunno the English word for it )

The red Pantera with me in it has been sold recently to a Dutch celebrity. What a shame, I loved that thing.

All pics taken by me :)

nice pics. as a draftsman in engineering constructions i like those pics of the pretty nice bridge :)

Thanks guys.

It's the bridge from a famous World War II Movie: A bridge too far. It's a very old bridge and is being refurbished as we speak. They nearly took it down but people protested heavily so it stays now :)

Atm my city is undertaking a huuuuuge project making a new island in the center of the city, giving the river much more space to flow. The city centre was subjected to floods nearly every year but instead of raising the dikes and build walls they came up with this solution. It's a world premiere to do it like this and there's a lot of worldwide publicity on this project. Many cities are interested how this will work out.
