Have been playing with the Arduino board again and this time with some LED strip lights ready for Christmas. At the moment the electronics are mounted in an old business card box and the wiring is just for the prototype. For a more finished version I will use an Arduino nano board and some extra bits so it can be powered by either mains or battery.

The potentiometer acts as an on/off switch and mode selector but because it isn’t that sensitive it can only select about five modes. One advantage is that you program colours and animations as required.
