so the server will run in classic mode. should be fun to play in good old bf2 game style

I actually enjoyed playing the hybrid hardcore mode. It takes away some of the advantages that better players have but you still have a lot of the fun. Maybe there is a few settings that could become a bit more permanent?
Only down side is that there are a few players who feel dodgy because they always get headshots but not seeing where they were makes it harder to know if they were suss or not. None were regulars.
