These are this years Christmas cakes (un-iced obvs). Yes, that is the Kenwood mixer I fixed after it blew up last year and is still going strong. The house still smells of cake baking and a little later will smell of buttermilk waffles.

As an aside, I have been using live yeast in bread recently. Local shop sells it and it is much cheaper than using dried packet yeast.
