you don´t need a new PC or anything else if you playing BF4 before.

i play BF1 now for 2 or 3 days and with "normal" settings i have over 100FPS ingame on a 64slot server. so all fine with my old GTX 760 and i guess with your newer 960 you will be able to play in high or ultra settings as well.

my PC specs are:

AMD FX-8120
24 GB Ram
GTX 760
Win10 pro

Can't remember what my CPU is but I have a 660 running on a super widescreen 1080 monitor. On high settings I can get up to 80 or 90 and with medium I can get into the 100s. Even ultra is playable. All that is in BF4.

The BF1 beta ran OK (with the caveat that isn't the full game) so I'm pretty confident that it should work OK.

When I have upped the settings I've not noticed a huge difference in what I'm seeing. It isn't that often when in the midst of a battle you think "Mmmm, I can see the stitching of laka's uniform. Isn't that nice?" as you get bagged. :)

Its a conspiracy, less than an hour for the game to go live and the left click button on my Laka mouse has just stopped working. Ordered another one but will take 4 days to arrive. Now looking through boxes to find a Razer copperhead and a diamond back that I have but cant remember where they are or if they are working or not. Sh!t..sh!t..sh!t

After checking my PC is:
i5-3570K
16gb RAM
GTX-670
Plus loads of SSD and HDDs

played some TDM and it appeared to play fine. Being a new game it is difficult to say if it is running OK or not. I would, as did laka, say that if you are happy playing BF4 then it should play BF1 OK too.

I would also add that there are already some cheating bastards out there.

Had a couple of times where the frame rate dropped to about 25 from about 80 but that could be the PC doing something in the background. Even on big maps with loads of players and a busy TDM map it played well so if your PC can play BF4 without any issues then it should be OK.

My PC is getting to the age where I need to upgrade motherboard, CPU, RAM rather than individual components so it will do for now.

You are playing medium or high?

Yep, its the same game engine but they add some shit on background so thats the high specs.

In near future i will upgrade my graphic. The choice is between nvidia cards.

I have a Dell Studio XPS 7100

CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (2.8GHz - 3.3GHz)

Memory - 6GB DDR3 1333MHz (4 DIMMs)

Graphics - ATI Radeon HD 5870 w/ 1GB GDDR5

Storage - Seagate 1.5TB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s

Operating System - Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Unfortunately, can't run BF1 or play the previously downloaded Star Wars (which cost me 60 quid or so), as both need min of 2gb graphics. Been looking at changing it but will need to up power supply I think. I like the look of the 8gb Ati Radeon R9 thing, but can't afford or know where to start with upgrading pc's.

Thinking I'll be Billynomates Nolongert-bagged on BF4 now, as you lot will desert me for BF1... :-(

New graphics cars tend to use a smaller track size on the chip (as do more recent CPUs) the advantage of this is that are more powerful in processing but require less power (or the same power as before despite increased processing). You may not need a new power supply as a result.

One thing I've noticed that does affect frame rate is the stupid weather. Fog really has a negative effect but it is OK because nobody else can see anything either (apart from cheating gits).

Got GTX 970, 8gb ram and ssd. i5-3750k.
Get GeForce Experience (download) and it will set it as high as possible to have it run smoothly. Might set some settings lower than you would, but that you wont notice. Here a screenshot taken with phone cam (so my girlfriend who got me bf1 for my birthday can see what she has done and that she will not see me again until spring arrives)2016-10-21 12.17.35.jpg
