its like steffos said. surely you can build a setup to run bf4 in highest settings with always 100-120 fps. but for what??

the human eye can only see motion up to 60fps. thats the limit. more fps ingame is only for statistical or posing lol not for a better gameplay.

40-60 fps with highest ingame settings is good, but that is also 120 with normal ingame settings and around 150 with low ingame settings.

actual is use the auto setting from nvidia geforce experience. this is nice because you can presetup how you like the setup. in more more performance or more to run you pc not always on 100%. with that it is a good grafic mix and i got my fps between 100-150 fps.

also how you said, don´t forget about the powerconsumption and heat emmisions. in you small case you will always have a head problem with playing bf4 on highest settings. you will easily got a incase temperature from around 70-80° in your small tower. thats why i bought me a big tower with a lot of fans and more space inside.

that is my setup:

You don't know what I have to be faster !!!.... You can see it but the frame is existing !...

So, what a 144Hz monitor is for ?

What about a SLI with 2x GTX 660, propelled by an old i7 940 on a Gygabite GA-EX58-UD5 ?

What about the new AMD APU (A-series) ? Better than FX-series ?

i would not do a 2x 660 sli better make a 760 sli or so

or just buy a single 760 its NOUGH i also heard that you should rather buy a better gpu than doing sli shit ;) it has to synchronize properly... but i never had such a thing so i dont know

what i first thought is that you want a pc to play bf4 like on medium settings with a "good" framerate... so i told you what i would expect therefore

always think about it 500 euros is a lot just for a cpu and you dont need it ;) i have an i5 3570k and i never reached any cpu limits in gaming only whilest compiling c++ code ;)

i have a 144hz monitor for CS go and CSS ^^ in battlefield it doesnt give you a great impact its only a spray and pray game ;)

SO please think trice before you pay 2000 euros for a PC ^^ you might regret it ^^

You're totally right Steffos.
- But there are so many choices. CPUboss made me think bad things about AMD (didn't test APU A-series yet).
- I have a "big" budget to pay for a set-up.
- I have 20% off in a computer store.
- My head is going to explode with all the infos you gave me and the stuff I've looked for.

Sometimes, after 1 hour playing, I'm losing the fullscreen mode (BF3 and 4), it's getting back to window mode (long time on BF4).
Every time, it's very long to get back to Windows when I close BF3/4 ...

The SLI 660 I was talking about is a used computer (for 600€) with 24" screen, keyboard, ...

I have CS CZ : the first FPS game I've played. Maybe, one day, when I'll be really fed-up with tanks, jets and helis, I'll get back to CS or CoD ....
I'd like, at least, a 16/10 screen, to have taller targets !!!

Your i5 3570k is the third generation (Ivy Bridge) and k means unlocked : 210€. Its fourth generation is i5 4570 (Haswell, less power consumption : 190€) and seems to be worse than yours.
I have to choose a i5 4670k (222€) to have a better or equal one. And for 15€ more, I have a i5 4690k (236€).

Then, for the MB (socket 1150), with the highest chipset (Z97) and ASUS :
- Z97-K (116€)
- Z97-C (125€)
- Z97M-Plus (130€)
- Z97-A (138€)
- Z97I-Plus (145€)
- Sabertooth Z97 M2 (155€)
...

I'm sure the Z97M-Plus will fit in my mid case. This MB is 4.5cm wider than mine, with a pre-drilled hole right there in the case !
But the 2 HDD will prevent me to put the RAM as they are on the right-top of the MB.
So, I'll have to fix my 2 HDD below the GPU, on the 2 last slots, 1 above the other one, no empty spaces !

GPU : surely the MSI GTX 770 2GB OC TF (310€) ... 26cm long, 3,8cm height !
It will straddle the HDDs, spitting its heat on them !
A 660 would be enough for BF4 but getting old a would like to invest in the GPU to run BF 5 and 6 !!!

The SSD is 10cm long ! I don't think the 3.5" adaptator need to be longer, only wider !...

Do you really think I need a bigger case ?
There's a lot of gaming mid cases and running an Intel CPU is colder, isn't it !?

A question about the RAM :
I've noticed the higher frequency you choose, the higher CAS is.
What's the best : 1600MHz CAS 9 or 2133MHz CAS 11 ?

i will only answer to the SSD and the case. :)

you really don´t need to fix them. mine are "laying" on the top HDD and thats fine for years now. :joker:

if it is in your budget i would always prefer a bigger case. it costs me 2 cases before i get me to the big one now ( its nearly 55*58cm ).

since i have the big tower i have no more overheating or heatissues at all. its just brilliant.

OMG ! In France, we have height adjustable chairs !!!...
What height adjustable tables or desks are for !??...
A good thing for kitchen or bathroom furnitures, as I'm tall and always have to be bended ...

Your CPU is 125W thermal dissipation. My current one is a 95W. The one I'd like is a 88W !...
You have the ARCTIC Freezer and a big case and you're living in a colder place than mine (I think so !...)
Winter is coming and I always have ice cubes in my freezer for the aperitif !!!...
I'll see how hot it will be !

Steffos, be sure you all have been very helpful even if I stiil have questions without answers (about RAM frequency/CAS, my wife's laptop, ...) !
I know this kind of discussion can be endless ... till I buy something !

Doypu know the ANTEC Skeleton !?
 
CAS and RAM frequencies, you won't notice any difference I expect. The added latency at the high clock rate makes them almost the same. But people say if using the newer Intel chips go for higher frequency...
 
Im still fearing that your harddrive space is too small, it will get full in week becouse of all mouse hand speed and endurance training videos. :rolleyes:

Furthermore, I've discovered 2 more interesting chipsets : X79 and X99 (who can run DDR4... very expensive stuff !!!...).

So: X79, Z87 or Z97 !?

My opinion : I think the X79 chipset should be the best of the 3 because it's the last released and the most expensive !!!
I'm about to buy a Sabertooth X79 + i7 4820K for 420€ !

Then, as I said, last Monday, I've plugged my 24" screen. But my computer ended up to over-heat.
I finally set my old set-up in my new bigger case and no more over-heating since then.
I've also tried to plug my GTX 770 but my PSU doesn't have the right plug (8+6 pins needed, only have 6 pins).
But I'm waiting for a used Corsair HX750 80+ Silver for 88€.

To be continued ...
 
I suggest new bigger HD-screen for watching downloaded blueray quality porn mp4 videos. :)

look at ebay. there are some adapter to buy for some cent.

about the chipset...its all about what you and your pocket like. lol

I have only 40" basic HD tv. :p You have 2" bigger tv but im sure i have 2" bigger cock. :cool: :tbag:
